Dear Family and Friends of Father Vincent Capodanno Catholic Academy.
I am truly honored to serve you as the second principal of Fr.Capodanno Catholic Academy! I hold two Masters Degrees. One in Early Childhood Education and the other in School Building Leadership. My journey in Catholic Education began as a Pre-K teacher. I served as the kindergarten teacher for many years after that. The joy of watching our youngest learners enter our school community and thrive is like no other! In 2020 Holy Rosary and St.Adalbert merged to form Fr.Capodanno Catholic Academy. Our school was new and so was my role! I served as the first assistant principal of FVCCA. I thought there was no greater joy in education than being in the classroom until I became an assistant principal. Being able to build relationships with all stakeholders and having the opportunity to build on old traditions to produce well rounded students ready to take on the world has been the greatest joy in my educational career.
As the parent of five children who attended Catholic School I am well aware of the sacrifices your family makes to give your child a Catholic education. I began my career in the public school system and I chose to pivot to the Catholic School system. A Catholic School education builds the whole child. Faith and good character is the foundation of everything we do. Academic success is measured by growth and personalized at FVCCA.
We remain dedicated to building relationships with our community, especially our Veterans community. Together with our Pastor Fr.Michael and my faculty and staff we continue to offer a faith based and future focused environment. Our school is named after Fr.Vincent Capodanno who gave his life serving others. It is our mission to continue to serve all who enter our building and all those around us! I invite you all to discover that There is No Place Like FVCCA!
Sincerely,
Debbie Cretella
